Clubs at Rockville
A list of all active clubs, contact people, meeting times, and locations is on display in the Student Activities Suite located in the Campus Center Building (to the rear of the student cafeteria). There are no membership dues or fees required to participate in a recognized club. To form a new club, four currently registered students, a faculty or staff adviser, and a club constitution are needed. For more information, stop by Student Activities and pick up a copy of the Club Organizers Handbook or talk to the club coordinator.


The Montgomery Advocate:  The Advocate, run by stduents for students is financed by Student Activities and published bi-weekly. It is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in editing, writing, investigative reporting, graphics design, photography, advertising sales, and computer-aided layout. Phi Theta Kappa: Kappa Omega Chapter, the national two year college honor society, was established at Montgomery College in 1960. To be consider for election to Phi Theta Kappa, a student must have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.6 in at least 20 credit hours a MC. The Student Government Association: Any member of the student body, full-or part-time, is eligible for election to the Student Government Association as long as the student is in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or higher) and possesses a sincere interest in the quality of life on campus. Call (301) 251-7177 or visit 116 Campus Center to get involved or get more information.

WROC Radio: WROC offers Rockville students the chance to get involved in the radio broadcasting. WROC airs a wide variety of music, as well as news and other features for the Rockville Campus. You can find the folks who put the programs on the air in 117 Student Activities Suite, or call (301) 251-7178.
