Open only to UAE Nationals, Wooden Powerboat racing has taken on a new lease of popularity following the introduction by DIMC of races for boats of powered by stock outboard engines. Much of the popularity follows the successes of the Victory Team, with many of the UAL's top Offshore Powerboat.
